The idea behind tiwis came from a good friend and was implemented with this website after a delay of only about ten years. The acronym tiwis stands for 'this is where I slept' or 'this is where I stayed'.
As the name already suggests, the original idea was to capture special sleeping spots and share them with friends.
That way, they might discover one or two insider tips for their next adventure.

Since, as mentioned, quite a few years have passed since the first idea and some of us no longer sleep in a car on a hidden beach in Portugal that often, the places on this website are kept a bit more general.
Maybe you would rather share restaurants, cafes, great viewpoints, amazing playgrounds for kids, or whatever else you like with your loved ones. That is for everyone to decide individually.

This is the first version of tiwis, and we are happy about every user joining us. Register, add your favorite places, share them with your friends, and bring life to the community.
